Itinerary

Day 1 ~ Hanoi to Lao Cai

On the evening of day 1, transfer to Hanoi Railway Station and board the beautifully-refurbished Victoria train to Lao Cai. From the cosy two- or four-berth compartments to the wood-panelled dining car, no detail has been overlooked. Step back in time to when luxury train travel was the only way to go!

Day 2 ~ Visit Sapa

Arrive early and refreshed in Lao Cai and transfer to Sapa, where you will check in to the beautiful Victoria Sapa Resort. The best accommodation in town, the Victoria offers stunning views of surrounding mountains and valleys. Visit local H’mong and Giay minority villages before breaking for lunch. This afternoon visit beautiful Thac Bac Waterfalls and Vietnam’s highest road point, Heaven’s Gate, with spectacular views of the surrounding valleys on a clear day.

Day 3 ~ Visit a Colourful Red Dzao Village

Visit a colourful Red Dzao village. One of the area’s best known and most colourful minorities, Red Dzao women shave their heads and eyebrows and wear bright scarlet turbans. Relax this afternoon with free time to explore Sapa.

Day 4 ~ Back to Hanoi by Victoria Express Day Train

After breakfast transfer to Lao Cai for the Victoria Express day train back to Hanoi. Enjoy the spectacular scenery as you sit back and relax, enjoying lunch on board. On arrival in Hanoi, transfer to your hotel.
