Day 1 ~ Visit Pakbeng

Depart this morning for Pakbeng, stopping en route at the Pak Ou Caves high on the banks of the Mekong, home to over a thousand Buddha images and one of the most sacred sites for locals during Lao New Year. Arrive before sunset and check in to the Luang Say Lodge. Situated on a beautiful stretch of the Mekong River, your lodge is full of character and the perfect place to unwind. The 16 large pavilions of solid wood are built in a traditional Lao architectural style and have balconies that overlook the river and the mountains beyond.

Day 2 ~ Take a walk to local market

Take an optional walk to the local market before you board your boat. Stop to meet local people from ethnic minority groups along the way, and after lunch continue on to Huai Xai on the Thai border, where your cruise ends.

Inclusions

1 night accommodation at Luang Say Lodge with breakfast, two lunches and one dinner, group touring, boat transport, entrance fees, English-speaking cruise escort. This service also operates in the reverse direction, departing Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays (October to April) and Mondays & Fridays (May to September). Not operational in June. Service does not include transfer from hotel to pier.
