HEALTH & FITNESS

Travel Indochina’s Small Group Journeys are for travelers of all ages with an interest in really experiencing the destinations which they are visiting. While it is not a requirement to undertake rigorous fitness regimes to join our vacations, traveling with us does require a capacity and willingness to engage in physical activity. All our journeys, whatever their grading, require walking and general mobility. Travelers must be able to walk reasonable distances unassisted, negotiate uneven surfaces, climb stairs and board boats as our programmes require. Some journeys involve long distance travel and occasional basic accommodation. Each journey in the brochure has a grading to assist you in choosing a vacation best suited to your level of fitness. We have established the following minimum fitness criteria for all of our journeys. These criteria have been established both in your own interests and in the interests of your fellow travelers. All travelers must meet the following fitness criteria.

STATEMENT OF FITNESS

I have the necessary levels of health and fitness to undertake a Travel Indochina small group journey. I can do the following unassisted:

- Walk 1-2 miles comfortably (in humid and hot conditions).
- Walk up 4 flights of stairs comfortably.
- Walk comfortably along rough and unstable surfaces.
- Negotiate boarding small boats, trains etc.
- Carry my own luggage.

If you are unable to do any or all of the above you are ineligible to undertake a Travel Indochina small group journey. If you are unsure, then please consult your doctor for further advice and assessment. Please note that Travel Indochina is able to offer extensive appropriate tailored arrangements to travelers who do not meet our small group tour health and fitness criteria. 

IMPORTANT: If, upon commencement of your tour, our tour leader takes the view that your fitness level is not to the standard set out in the above criteria, in your own interests and those of your fellow travelers, we reserve the right to cancel your tour participation. In this instance, we will assist you in making the arrangements for your onward travel. Cancellation penalties will apply. Checking the box confirms that you have answered the above questions honestly and that you agree to these conditions.
