Grand Hyatt Beijing

From GBP 168.00 single, GBP 84.00 double/twin per person

THE SCOOP
The location, level of comfort and the largest hotel swimming pool in the country all attract visitors to this hotel. With a central position close to the action, and service that excels, the Grand Hyatt attracts both leisure and business travellers.

THE LOCATION
The Grand Hyatt is located in the heart of the business and commercial district on Wangfujing Street (famous for its shopping). Walk only 5 minutes to find yourself at the night food market and pedestrian shopping area, or 20 minutes to reach the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. The Beijing airport is 35km away (approximately 40 minutes by car).

THE GOODS
Rooms: All 582 guest rooms feature panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows with views of central Beijing. The rooms, labelled Grand, Grand Deluxe, Grand Residence and Grand Suite, feature all the comforts that a seasoned traveller demands. Stylish and contemporary interiors match the modern facilities found in each room. Satellite TV, broadband and high-speed internet connections and in-room safes are just a few of the extras that are in place to make every stay a comfortable one.
Our Preferred Room: Our preferred rooms are the Grand rooms. There are 363 in total and each one is designed to offer an Oriental feel and modern comfort. These rooms, while a little on the small side, have everything the luxury traveller could need.

Restaurants: There are seven restaurants at the Grand Hyatt with Made in China and Noble Court offering some of the finest Chinese cuisine in all of Beijing. Made in China has an open kitchen and specialises in Peking duck, but be sure to book well in advance as space is limited. Noble Court offers Cantonese and Southern specialties exquisitely prepared by Chinese master chefs. Red Moon is a swanky bar that serves sushi and carefully crafted cocktails.

Facilities: The hotel features an enormous swimming pool (the largest in China!), a fully-equipped gymnasium, aerobics room, massage services, solarium, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.

Business Travellers: The Grand Hyatt is more than capable of catering to the business traveller. It features over 1,600 square metres of meeting and function facilities. The hotel places the latest technology at guests’ fingertips with computer facilities, broadband access, faxes, copiers and an information library all available.

THE POOL
One of the Grand Hyatt’s selling points has to be the swimming pool, the largest in China. Set in luxurious surroundings, it manages to offer an outdoor tropical rainforest feel from the hotel basement! It is a real treat for both children and adults alike.

THE FAMILY
The hotel provides facilities specifically for children including high chairs, children's pool, camps and playroom. Babysitting is available at the hotel on request.

FOR THE DISABLED TRAVELLER
There are two rooms specially built for disabled travellers and these include grab rails, level entry shower and lever tap wash basins. Public areas are wheelchair accessible and the hotel has wheel-chair friendly restaurants and lifts.

THE COMPETITION
In terms of family-oriented properties in Beijing, nothing can compare. The Peninsula Palace is not child-friendly, and China World is more suited to the business traveller.
