En route back to Chengdu, stop at the garden home of the renowned Tang Dynasty poet, Dufu. Visit People’s Park and relax in its teahouses before exploring Qingtai Old Street. This evening experience a famous Sichuan hotpot dinner, then enjoy aperformance of colourful Sichuan Opera. Day 3 ~ Drive south to Leshan to see Da Fo![]() Drive south to Leshan to see Da Fo – the largest Buddha statue in the world. Take a cruise past this amazing structure for some great views. Head further south to Mt Emei (Emei Shan), one of four famous Buddhist mountains in China. This cool, forested region is dotted with temples, monasteries, mist-shrouded peaks and stunning viewpoints. Days 4 - 5 ~ Take a cable car up to Wannian Temple![]() Take a cable car up to Wannian Temple, one of the most interesting temples on Mt Emei.
