Begin your experience this afternoon with a visit to Angkor Thom, a city once home to more than one million. Marvel at the eerie stone heads of the Bayon, then continue on to the world’s largest sacred building – the architectural masterpiece of Angkor Wat. See this jaw-dropping monument from the heights of a tethered balloon, and at ground-level take in sunset in front of the famous central towers. Day 2 ~ Visit Angkor Wat, Preah Khan, Banteay Kdei Angkor Wat spires Wake early for the memorable experience of sunrise at Angkor Wat as you enter the temple grounds in darkness from the little-visited eastern causeway. Explore the temple in detail with your expert guide, then move on to Preah Khan, a fascinating site now restored by the World Monument Fund. You will spend time at the ruins of Banteay Kdei and at dusk explore jungle-enveloped Ta Prohm, an eerie mélange of tree roots and crumbling stone.
