Itinerary

Day 1 ~ Tonle Sap Lake

This afternoon take a cruise on beautiful Tonle Sap Lake, and pass through a floating fishing village. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2 ~ Visit Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm

Begin the day with sunrise outside Angkor Wat, then venture inside the temple complex. Later, explore jungle-enveloped Ta Prohm, and return to your hotel for a free afternoon.

Day 3 ~ Angkor City

This morning take an amazing short helicopter flight over Angkor (your helicopter is French-made and piloted by a New Zealander). Back down at ground level, enter Angkor City like ancient royalty once did, on the back of an elephant. After lunch take a trip through the countryside in a horse-drawn cart.

Day 4 ~ Crumbling temple, Banteay Srei

Visit the crumbling temple of Boeng Mealea, a little-visited site that pre-dates Angkor and is a true highlight. Later, the intricacy of Banteay Srei’s bas reliefs is sure to impress. Enjoy a free afternoon.

Day 5 ~ Visit Phnom Kulen, River of 1,000 Lingas

Visit Phnom Kulen, the birthplace of the Khmer Empire, and its mountaintop Buddhist monastery. Next you will explore the ‘River of 1,000 Lingas’ with its carved sandstone riverbed. Stop there for lunch and a waterfall swim.
